Overview
The NSC100-ENTERPRISE-PLUS is an Enterprise standard package of the VIAVI Network & Service Companion (NSC-100). The NSC-100 is a compact, screenless hand-held test device for Ethernet, enterprise and data center networks. It is operated through the VIAVI Mobile Tech app on a smartphone or tablet over Bluetooth.
This package comes with the Ethernet test interface and VIAVI TrueSpeed (RFC-6349) TCP throughput testing over a 1GE port. Technicians can use it to bring up and troubleshoot Ethernet services at Layers 2, 3 and 4, and to run active throughput tests that find throughput problems affecting customers.
The NSC-100 can validate business services on its own, or act as a remote loopback device with the T-BERD/MTS-5800 for Y.1564 and RFC2544 tests. With the right options it can run 24/7 monitoring sessions for long-term root-cause failure analysis and SLA monitoring. It can also serve as a remote-controlled test agent for the VIAVI Fusion centralized test system.
Workflow and reporting
Job Manager helps technicians manage their jobs, test results and reports. Reports are generated on the device and submitted either through the StrataSync cloud platform or by email from a smartphone or tablet. Support for StrataSync and the Mobile Tech app enables centralized, cloud-based workflow and result management for both direct and contracted staff.
