Overview
The VIAVI TC-201 TCAS/Transponder Directional Antenna Couplers are used in avionics maintenance on directional TCAS antennas and combined TCAS/transponder antennas. The coupler shields the RF signal while the TCAS or transponder system is being tested.
When used with the IFR6000, IFR6015 or APM-424(V)5 flight line test sets, the TC-201 supports maintenance testing in the airborne condition without interfering with air traffic control or nearby aircraft. It works with both phase and amplitude type antennas, and four-quadrant testing is done by rotating the bearing selector dial.
