Overview
The Anritsu μOTDR Module MU909014C/14C6/15C/15C6 series is a family of handheld OTDR modules for the Network Master MT9090A mainframe. Together with the mainframe, they form a pocket-size optical time domain reflectometer for fiber installation and maintenance.
The modules offer 2 cm resolution for mapping events, deadzones of less than 1 meter (3 feet) and a dynamic range of up to 38 dB. According to Anritsu, this is enough to test links over 150 km (90 miles) or PON-based FTTx networks with splits of up to 1 x 64.
The series covers 1310 nm and 1550 nm plus a filtered 1625 nm or 1650 nm wavelength for in-service testing. The modules also include PON power meter, loss test set and light source functions. An integrated launch fiber lets the first connector be measured without external devices, and the Fiber Visualizer mode lets users run tests without OTDR expertise. Connectivity includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Ethernet.
