Overview

The Anritsu MU909015C6 is a member of the µOTDR Module series (MU909014C/14C6/15C/15C6). It is used with the Network Master MT9090A mainframe to form a handheld optical time domain reflectometer that fits in the palm of the hand.

According to Anritsu, the µOTDR series offers 2 cm resolution for event mapping, deadzones of less than 1 meter (3 feet) and a dynamic range of up to 38 dB across the series, sufficient for testing links over 150 km (90 miles) or PON-based FTTx networks with up to a 1 x 64 split.

The series combines OTDR testing with built-in PON power meter, loss test set and light source functions. A Fiber Visualizer mode presents results without requiring OTDR expertise, and an integrated launch fiber allows measurement of the initial connector without external devices. Connectivity includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Ethernet.
