Overview
ONT FlexE Software is a software option for the VIAVI ONT 800G FLEX modules used in the ONT optical network tester platform. Flexible Ethernet (FlexE) gives network managers a uniform way to deliver flexible high-speed Ethernet services and supports software-defined networking (SDN).
The ONT FlexE Test application is used for design and verification testing of the FlexE shim functions. Testing covers FlexE calendar management, the overhead protocol functions, and the configuration and performance of FlexE clients.
The application supports calendar configuration for FlexE bonding, sub-rate and channelization, alarm and error generation for testing FlexE frame and multi-frame lock, manipulation of the FlexE overhead, and measurement of client/MAC rate utilization and QoS.
