Overview
The ONT OTUCn and FlexO software options add beyond-100G OTN test applications to the 800G FLEX and 800G FLEX DCO modules of the VIAVI Optical Network Tester (ONT) platform.
OTUCn, based on ITU-T G.709 and its supplementary documents, allows the transport of services beyond 100G, such as 200GE and 400GE, and enables line-side transport structures beyond 1 Tbps. The physical adaptation is defined as FlexO in ITU-T G.709.1 and ITU-T G.709.3, addressing both client-side and line-side interfaces.
The OTN test applications on the ONT support design and verification testing of FlexO/FOIC, OTUCn and ODU payloads, including BERT, overhead generation and analysis, alarm and error insertion, service disruption, delay and skew measurements. The options are intended for interoperability verification, performance validation and product validation of OTN equipment.
