Overview
The VIAVI OneExpert DSL (ONX-580 Family) is a modular field test platform for deploying and troubleshooting residential broadband over xDSL, G.fast and FTTH. It combines a multi-touch user interface with OneCheck automated tests that report clear pass/fail results for copper, DSL, TDR and Ethernet tests.
The family consists of three mainframes: the service-focused ONX-580A, the standard ONX-580 with copper and service testing, and the ONX-580P for advanced copper and service testing. All models can support FTTH and WiFi testing. Replaceable test modules cover ADSL, bonded and vectored VDSL2 including Profile 35b, and G.fast up to 212 MHz.
Open, modular design
Modular hardware allows the meter to be updated as access technologies change, and software can be upgraded and enhanced in the field. Throughput can be verified with Ookla, VIAVI SpeedCheck, Broadcom Speedservice and the standardized TrueSpeed test (RFC-6349).
Connectivity and data management
The OneExpert app allows everyday mobile devices to be used for remote control and connectivity. The instrument is StrataSync enabled, providing cloud-based asset, configuration and test data management and keeping instrument software and options up to date.
