Overview
The NSC200-PLATINUM-10G is the Platinum standard package of the VIAVI Network & Service Companion (NSC-200), a compact, screenless hand-held test device that combines PON, Ethernet and WiFi test interfaces with VIAVI OneCheck applications for network validation and multi-gig service testing by frontline technicians and installers.
The package bundles XGSPON, Ethernet and WiFi testing with SpeedCheck 10G, Ookla Speedtest 10G and TrueSpeed 10G throughput tests, 10G Ethernet loopback and a TWAMP reflector. Throughput testing (SpeedCheck, Ookla Speedtest, TrueSpeed RFC-6349, iPerf) reaches 10 Gbps, and Layer 2/3 loopback supports Y.1564 and RFC 2544 tests up to 10 Gbps when used as a remote loopback device with the T-BERD/MTS-5800.
The NSC-200 supports both residential and enterprise use cases: validating PON service delivery before troubleshooting the premises, running Ethernet tests on network Layers 2, 3 and 4, optimizing WiFi coverage with room-by-room analysis, and performing 24/7 monitoring sessions for long-term root cause failure analysis and SLA monitoring.
Workflow and connectivity
The unit is operated from the VIAVI Mobile Tech app over Bluetooth on Android or iOS devices. Job Manager organizes jobs, test results and reports, and reports can be submitted through the StrataSync cloud or sent directly by email. VIAVI Fusion can use NSC units as remote-controlled test agents in a centralized test system.
