Overview
The NSC200-HOME-PRO is the Home Package configuration of the VIAVI Network and Service Companion (NSC-200). It combines Ethernet and WiFi test interfaces with VIAVI SpeedCheck 1G and Ookla Speedtest 1G throughput testing, giving installers a way to validate in-premises service distribution for residential and small business customers.
The NSC-200 is a compact, screenless hand-held unit operated through the VIAVI Mobile Tech app on a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. Its 'OneCheck' applications run one-button tests with single-screen results, typically in under one minute, so that both new and experienced technicians can verify the network and service layers before sharing results with customers and providers.
WiFi testing covers coverage, channel noise, airtime and throughput, supports room-by-room analysis and returns network improvement recommendations when performance is below expectation. Ethernet testing covers interfaces at 1G, 2.5G, 5G and 10G.
Workflow and reporting
Job Manager helps technicians organise jobs, test results and reports. Reports can be generated on board and submitted through the StrataSync cloud platform or sent directly by email from a smart phone or tablet. The NSC-200 platform supports throughput testing up to 10 Gbps through optional licenses, and GPON/XGSPON test can be added with the corresponding options.
