Overview
The VIAVI NSC100-HOME-PRO is a standard Home Package of the Network & Service Companion (NSC-100), a compact, screenless hand-held test device. This package combines Ethernet and WiFi test interfaces with VIAVI SpeedCheck 1G and Ookla Speedtest 1G throughput testing for residential and small-business service installation.
The NSC-100 lets technicians and contractors validate both network and service layers before sharing test results with customers and providers. One-button 'OneCheck' tests return a one-screen result in under one minute, which supports both inexperienced and expert technicians and helps ensure all required tests are performed on site.
WiFi testing covers coverage and performance optimisation with room-by-room analysis, and the device provides network improvement recommendations when performance falls below expectation. Testing at each access point gives a clear demarcation of issues between service delivery and in-premises distribution.
Workflow and connectivity
The unit is operated from a smartphone or tablet via the VIAVI Mobile Tech app over Bluetooth. Job Manager organises jobs, test results and reports, and reports can be submitted through the cloud via StrataSync or sent directly by email.
