Overview
The VIAVI NSC100-GPON-XGSPON-PLUS is a standard package of the Network & Service Companion (NSC-100), a compact, screenless hand-held test device that combines PON, Ethernet and WiFi test interfaces with VIAVI OneCheck applications for network validation and service testing by frontline technicians and installers.
This package combines GPON and XGSPON ONU/ONT emulation with Ethernet testing and the SpeedCheck 1G and Ookla Speedtest 1G throughput tests. It allows technicians and contractors to confirm PON service delivery, including PON activation state, power levels and PON ID, before troubleshooting the premises network over Ethernet.
Workflow and connectivity
The NSC is operated through the VIAVI Mobile Tech app over Bluetooth from an Android or iOS smart device. The automated OneCheck workflow ensures that all required tests are performed on site, and Job Manager helps technicians manage jobs, test results and reports. Reports can be generated on board and submitted via the StrataSync cloud platform or by email, supporting centralized workflow and result management for both direct and contracted staff.
Additional test applications such as WiFi, TrueSpeed, iPerf, loopback and TWAMP reflector are available as options.
