Overview
The NSC100-ENTERPRISE-PRO is an Enterprise standard package of the VIAVI Network & Service Companion (NSC-100). It combines Ethernet, WiFi and TrueSpeed 1G testing in the compact, screenless hand-held unit, which is operated through the VIAVI Mobile Tech app on a smartphone or tablet.
The NSC-100 is a test solution for Ethernet, Enterprise and Data Center Networks. It combines active Ethernet and WiFi testing capabilities for service activation and troubleshooting on network Layers 2, 3 and 4. Active throughput tests based on TrueSpeed (RFC 6349) help identify customer-affecting throughput issues.
The unit can validate business services as a standalone tester or act as a remote loopback device together with the T-BERD/MTS-5800 for Y.1564 and RFC 2544 tests. WiFi testing reports coverage and performance and gives network improvement recommendations when performance is below expectation.
Workflow and management
The automated OneCheck applications cover the tests required on site, and Job Manager organises jobs, test results and reports. Reports can be generated on the unit and submitted via the StrataSync cloud or by email from a connected smart device. VIAVI Fusion can use NSC units as remote-controlled test agents, and remote control supports leave-behind use for long-term testing and failure analysis.
