VIAVI PSD40-555-1 T-Cable Fuel Quantity Interface for ATR 42/72 (Left Indicator)

The VIAVI PSD40-555-1 is a T-Cable from the VIAVI library of aircraft-specific fuel interface cables. It interfaces to both fuel tanks at the left indicator of ATR 42/72 aircraft, allowing measurement of the tank units and simulation to the indicator.

The cable is listed in the VIAVI ATR 42/72 Aircraft Fuel System Support Equipment data sheet as part of the ground support equipment required for testing the ATR 42/72 Fuel Quantity Indicating System. In that equipment list it is used together with a VIAVI Fuel Quantity Test Set, such as the PSD90-3AC AC Capacitance Test Set, which replaces the PSD60-2R.

Combined with a VIAVI Fuel Quantity Test Set, aircraft-specific interface cables provide functional testing and troubleshooting of the fuel quantity system. Aircraft with SB ATR72-28-1026 require an adapter tool from ATR to connect the cable to the aircraft. A companion cable, the PSD40-555-2, provides the same function at the right indicator.
