Overview
The EVOIA Drive Test R-RSP-ISTDx1y is a circuit switched responder unit that completes the VIAVI GSM-R air interface drive test setup. Located at the MSC side, it terminates the mobile originated voice and data calls launched by the measuring test system, providing a full end-to-end test path for the measuring wagon solution.
The measuring test system can launch scenarios with different types of calls (voice and data) and maintain them for the entire test duration. The responder unit interfaces with ISDN through a Primary Rate Interface (PRI), automatically answers voice and data calls, and can automatically generate voice calls (MOC).
Standards compliance
For circuit switched tests the responder unit is compliant with the O-2475 v3.0 and v4.0 ERTMS/GSM-R Quality of Service Test Specification as part of the Subset-093 requirements. The measuring test system can also launch packet switched test scenarios, in which case the responder terminates packet switched tests compliant with the O-2475 v4.0.0 ERTMS/GSM-R Quality of Service Test Specification.
Configurations
The unit is available as a 19 in. rack or desktop version, powered from 230 VAC or 48 VDC depending on the configuration. It can operate in attended mode with software on an external PC or laptop, or in unattended mode with software installed on an internal URD. After post-processing, data can be exported in .csv format for use in third-party applications.
