Overview
The Luna LSG500n Line Scan Gauge (LSG) is a handheld accessory for the T-Ray® 5000 terahertz system. It scans a line 50 or 75 mm long at high speed. The handheld tool shows the line scan image on its own screen, and dedicated software can analyze the image for specific applications.
The current software can measure layer thickness, detect voids, and align body panels by measuring the vertical and horizontal offset between them. The live display lets the operator align the tool in real time and observe and measure surface and sub-surface features.
The gauge scans at up to 8 sweeps per second, and the rate can be lowered for higher resolution. It ships with a 75 mm (3") scan length lens. An optional accessories kit adds a 2" lens, standoffs and a calibration plate.
The manufacturer lists the LSG500n as discontinued.
