Overview

The Anritsu Field Master MS2070A is a handheld, field-portable RF spectrum analyzer covering 9 kHz to 3 GHz. It is built on the same durable platform as the rest of the Field Master family and is intended for RF measurements in general-purpose field and lab environments, including routine spectrum monitoring and interference hunting in the crowded sub-3 GHz spectrum.

The analyzer captures and measures HF, VHF and UHF signals used in commercial and military applications. With the optional preamplifier, typical displayed average noise level is -167 dBm. Third-order intercept is +11 dBm typical at 2 GHz, and dynamic range is 105 dB typical.

The MS2070A performs standard swept spectrum analysis with sweep speeds up to 32 GHz/s. Smart measurements include channel power, occupied bandwidth, adjacent channel power, spectral emission mask, carrier-to-interference and field strength. Options add a high accuracy power meter, interference finder, channel scanner, GNSS receiver, coverage mapping and AM/FM modulation measurements.

Display and connectivity

The instrument uses a 10.1-inch capacitive multi-touch screen with 1280 x 800 resolution and supports several user-interface languages. Remote control is available over Ethernet and USBTMC using SCPI commands, with Wi-Fi as an option. PDF and HTML measurement reports can be generated directly on the instrument.
