Overview
The Spectrum Master MS2762A-0170 is the 170 GHz model of Anritsu's MS2762A ultraportable spectrum analyzers, part of the MS276xA family. It covers 6 GHz to 170 GHz. It is built for the most demanding sensitivity requirements and offers higher dynamic range and lower displayed average noise level than the MS2760A models.
The analyzer uses Anritsu's patented nonlinear transmission line (NLTL) technology, which is also used in Anritsu vector network analyzers. Its coverage extends beyond 110 GHz, which allows research and development work across the entire D band. Typical applications include radio astronomy, automotive radar and antenna beam pattern testing.
The instrument is small enough to connect directly to the device under test through its 0.8 mm (m) test port. This removes the need for long, lossy test port cables at millimeter-wave frequencies. For over-the-air measurements, a waveguide horn antenna can be attached directly to the test port.
The MS2762A-0170 is powered over USB and controlled from a Windows-based PC, laptop or tablet. This makes it usable in the lab, on the manufacturing floor and in the field. Built-in measurements include channel power, adjacent channel power and occupied bandwidth, with spectrum and spectrogram displays.
