Overview

The Anritsu Spectrum Master MS2760A-0050 is a member of the MS2760A family of ultraportable spectrum analyzers. It covers 9 kHz to 50 GHz and has a V connector (1.85 mm) male test port.

The MS2760A family uses Anritsu's patented nonlinear transmission line (NLTL) technology, the same technology used in Anritsu vector network analyzers. Because the instrument is pocket-sized, it can connect directly to the device under test. This avoids the long test port extension cables that add loss and error at millimeter-wave frequencies.

The analyzer is powered over USB and controlled from a Windows-based PC, laptop or tablet. It can be used in the lab, on the production line or in the field. Its measurements include channel power, adjacent channel power and occupied bandwidth, with spectrum and spectrogram displays.

Connectivity

The instrument has a USB 3.0 Type C interface. It also has MCX inputs for an external 10 MHz frequency reference and an external TTL trigger. Accessories for the MS276xA family include waveguide adapters, directional horn antennas for over-the-air measurements, USB extension cables and a fiber USB extender. A low noise amplifier (2000-1929-R) is specified as fitting the MS276xA-0050 models.
