Overview

The VIAVI B3 800G 8-port Appliance is a High-Speed Ethernet test platform available with QSFP-DD800 or OSFP800 interfaces. It provides up to 6.4 Tbps of test traffic. In 112 Gbps PAM4 mode it supports 1x800G, 2x400G, 4x200G and 8x100G, and in 56 Gbps PAM4 mode it supports 1x400G, 2x200G and 8x50G. Auto Negotiation and Link Training follow IEEE 802.3df.

For AI infrastructure testing, the appliance emulates GPUs and NICs using RoCEv2 and Ultra Ethernet Transport (UEC 1.0) with CCL and LLM training traffic patterns. Autonomous Flow Tracking (AFT) is supported on the 8-port model. AFT tracks large numbers of flows using L2/L3 and L4 header fields such as VLAN ID, MPLS, SRv6 SID and IPv6 address.
