Overview

The VIAVI B3 800G 4-port Appliance is a High-Speed Ethernet test platform available with QSFP-DD800 or OSFP800 interfaces. In 112 Gbps PAM4 mode it supports 1x800G, 2x400G, 4x200G and 8x100G, in line with Ethernet Technology Consortium 800GBASE-R and IEEE 802.3ck/802.3df. In 56 Gbps PAM4 mode it supports 1x400G, 2x200G and 8x50G, per IEEE 802.3cd and 802.3bs. Auto Negotiation and Link Training follow IEEE 802.3df.

For AI infrastructure testing, the appliance emulates GPUs and NICs using RoCEv2 and Ultra Ethernet Transport (UEC 1.0), together with CCL and LLM training traffic patterns. The optional XStream mode raises traffic generation and protocol scale. The appliance also supports the TestCenter MCP Server.
