Overview
TTworkbench is an integrated test development and execution environment (IDE) for automated testing of software products and services, regardless of technology, operating system or implementation domain. It is based on the standardized testing language TTCN-3, which supports test automation and extension through plugins.
Users can start a test automation project from scratch or build on existing plugins and test solutions available for TTworkbench. Tests can be defined in textual and graphical formats, and predefined tests can be reused and executed. Bug tracking is also part of the workflow.
Editions
TTworkbench comes in two editions. TTworkbench Basic is for maintaining and modifying test suites. TTworkbench Professional is for building complex test environments and adds the GFT graphical editor, the TTdebug source-level debugger and the RPDE plugin development environment. Both editions ship with the TTplugins TCP and UDP pre-installed.
Components
TTman handles test management, execution and analysis. The CL Editor is a TTCN-3 Core Language editor that includes T3Doc. TTthree compiles TTCN-3 modules into test executables. The Capture & Replay Wizard generates TTCN-3 scripts from traces.
