Overview
The VIAVI Secure μPNT-440 Module is a resilient timing solution based on VIAVI TrustedPNT technology and an intelligent zero-trust multi-source platform. It is designed as an in-line upgrade path for legacy GPS/GNSS systems that are exposed to jamming and spoofing.
The module is installed between the GNSS/STL antenna and the existing GPS clock receiver. Its patented Transcoder generates a clean GPS L1 signal from trusted alternate sources, including authenticated multi-constellation GNSS, GEO SecureTime corrections or LEO STL services, so that legacy GPS clocks continue to operate when GPS is denied or spoofed. The RF GPS L1 output is compatible with existing coax antenna cabling.
SecureTime Services
The μPNT-440 is a GPS/GNSS receiver that supports VIAVI SecureTime GEO and LEO Services. With eGNSS GEO, powered by Fugro AtomiChron on Inmarsat, it provides authenticated spoofing detection and mitigation. With altGNSS LEO-S, powered by Iridium STL, it uses an encrypted GNSS-independent reference traceable to UTC. altGNSS LEO LOCUS adds Iridium-based dynamic timing with positioning support.
Holdover and Control
An integrated rugged OCXO provides holdover in GPS/GNSS-denied or indoor environments. The module offers a comprehensive SCPI command set for control and automation over USB or RS-232, and is supported by the GPSCon Controller Software.
