Overview
The VIAVI STL-1400 is a low-cost receiver module designed for low size, weight and power (SWaP), battery-operated handheld applications. It is intended for use with VIAVI's Iridium-based SecureTime LEO services.
The module delivers timing and dynamic or stationary positioning data at various accuracy levels using signals from Iridium satellites. A DSP chip supports the SecureTime LEO services for indoor and outdoor reception, and a disciplined oscillator provides holdover capability.
The STL-1400 is suited to critical infrastructure applications that rely on resilient positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) services to complement GPS/GNSS. Configuration and monitoring are supported by the GPSCon Controller and JLTerm software.
Key Features
- NMEA, 10 MHz and 1 PPS outputs
- Low power modes (<0.5 W)
- OCXO oscillator with holdover capability
- Jamming and spoofing resistant
- Timing and dynamic/stationary positioning from Iridium satellite signals
- SCPI serial control and monitoring
- Field upgradeable firmware through SCPI serial port
