Overview

FiberTrace 2 and FiberCable 2 are VIAVI PC applications for post-processing and reporting optical fiber test data acquired in the field. They are used to view, edit, analyze and document test results and to keep fiber installation records accurate and up to date.

The software comes in two versions. FiberTrace 2 lets users view, edit, analyze and print, in a professional format, optical test data acquired with the VIAVI T-BERD/MTS platforms or SmartOTDR. FiberCable 2 adds OTDR acceptance reports for high fiber count cables and Fiber Characterization reports that combine various test results in a single document.

OTDR trace analysis includes multiple trace management and automated bi-directional analysis. A batch processing and macro function applies repetitive actions automatically to a series of files, which shortens data post-processing. Reports can include graphical and table views in a configurable format.
