Overview
The VIAVI Compact Photonic Tools are a portfolio of point solutions for fiber optic test applications. The cLED-A1 is a compact light emitting diode (LED) source intended for applications ranging from simple continuity verification and insertion loss testing to integration into process automation equipment used for alignment.
An integrated multiplexer combines the LEDs onto a single optical output, which simplifies optical connections and calibrations. To compensate for downstream wavelength-dependent loss, each wavelength can be individually controlled and attenuated.
The instrument is operated through a graphical user interface (GUI) and keypad. A universal serial bus (USB) interface allows the source to be controlled from a PC for test automation.
