easyTest Tools ETT Work Instruction Software for Anritsu Handheld Analyzers

easyTest Tools (ETT) is PC software from Anritsu for writing work instructions that run directly on supported handheld instruments. Users create a procedure on a Windows PC, deliver it by e-mail, and the instrument displays the step-by-step instructions covering both the test setup and instrument operation.

Create

easyTest provides a small set of tools that let experienced users share their expertise with novice users. Authors can concentrate on the content of a procedure rather than the mechanics of building it. A set of sample procedures is included so users can build their own procedures by modifying the samples.

Deliver

All setups, procedures and images used in a procedure are stored in a single ETT file, which simplifies distribution. Modified instrument firmware recognises this file type, and electronic distribution allows procedures to be kept current.

Display

On the instrument, the user starts a procedure by pressing an icon in the menu. Setups are recalled automatically to put the instrument into the correct mode, images show hook-up instructions, prompts indicate when buttons need to be pressed, and results are saved automatically. Supported instruments include the Site Master, LMR Master, Spectrum Master, Cell Master and BTS Master handheld analyzers and the ShockLine MS46xxx vector network analyzers, with setup file types and supported modes varying by model.
