Overview
The Anritsu MS46624A is the 4-port, 10 MHz to 26.5 GHz model of the Tensor MS466xxA vector network analyzer (VNA) series. It is designed to characterize passive, active and frequency-translating devices such as amplifiers and mixers.
The Tensor architecture provides a dedicated source for each port, with independent control of multiple sources and receivers, together with high-speed data acquisition and transfer. Hardware options for the series include direct access loops, receive-side and source-side step attenuators, a second internal local oscillator (LO) on four-port instruments, external ALC, external IF in and out, and banded mmWave support. Software options include time domain processing, gain compression, several mixer measurement options and mmWave support.
AI-assisted measurement setup
Tensor includes Anritsu Integrated AI (AAI), which lets users configure measurements through natural language requests. For a request such as setting up a mixer measurement, the system presents the setup details, including a block diagram, recommended connections and settings. Once sufficient information is provided, it configures the measurement, performs the required calibrations and executes the test. The AI engine runs on the instrument itself and does not require an Internet connection.
