Overview

The Anritsu MS4647B is the 70 GHz model of the VectorStar MS4640B series of microwave vector network analyzers. It is a 2-port instrument with V (male) test ports covering 10 MHz to 70 GHz, and Option 070 extends the low end of the range to 70 kHz.

The VectorStar platform is built for S-parameter measurements of RF, microwave and millimeter-wave devices. Its users include device modeling engineers, R&D engineers and manufacturing test engineers who need accurate results without giving up throughput.

Measurement applications

Software options add pulsed measurements (PulseView), intermodulation distortion analysis with an internal combiner (IMDView), and differential device analysis with dual internal sources (DifferentialView). Further options add noise figure and differential noise figure, eye diagrams, time domain analysis and Universal Fixture Extraction for de-embedding test fixtures.

Spectrum analysis and expansion

Option 49 adds a spectrum analyzer for spectral-domain measurements such as harmonics, spurs and distortion products. The instrument can serve as the base of the ME7838 broadband systems and of multiport configurations built with the MN469xC test sets. When paired with the MN4765B O/E calibration module, it also supports optoelectronic measurements.

Key Features

  • Frequency coverage 10 MHz to 70 GHz, optional 70 kHz low-end extension (Option 070)
